I’ve been working with Plush Home for almost 10 years – first with Plush’s founding designer Nina Petronzio, and then later with her design team at her showroom, Plush Home. I’ve designed everything from A to Z for Plush, including the magazine ads, retail store bags, pricetags and tearsheets, and of course the website. The website includes a custom content management system, which I wrote in php/MySQL, that allows Plush to manage their own online catalog and online store. I’m frequently revising and expanding the site to make it a more engaging and useful experience for the business’ retail and design clients.

Adam Lambert Official Site & Store

For Adam Lambert’s official site, I was tasked with creating a bold design that prominently featured the artist against a constellation of stars and symbols, as well as incorporating a large amount of commerce, community, and editorial content. I story-boarded and animated a fullpage flash intro, and I designed the accompanying official store, designed and coded Adam’s MySpace profile, and designed/animated a series of promotional banners for Adam’s albums and special offers.

Christina Aguilera Official Site & Store

For the Christina Aguilera Official Site and Store, I worked for over 3 months with our internal engineering/theming teams, the record label and artist management to build the first site on our platform that has a custom mobile/website sharing tool, integrated commerce on the editorial site using a custom commerce API, and a new store product that launched with Christina’s site, which uses a scalable model that I concepted, wireframed, and comped.

Additionally, I did a series of custom illustrations for the background of the site that ended up getting used for the fan edition of the album, and was also printed as a limited edition poster.

The site was a huge success, and it’s one of my favorite projects with Sony Music, since it tested all of my skills – conceptual, managerial, design/UI/UX, and coding/engineering. It was a privilege to be so intimately involved with every aspect of this project, working from concept to completion, and I’m still happy to say that I maintain and work on updates/improvements for this site currently!

Sony Music Digital Commerce UI/UX

A key part of my position at Sony Music Entertainment is concepting and prototyping commerce UI/UX for our artist stores. I work closely with our record labels, business team, engineers and front-end coders, SEO and analytics group, and our internal design team to determine new best-practices for our artist stores. Our goal is to create a scalable platform that allows us to rapidly deploy and update stores, while also giving the designers and front-end coders the opportunity to customize each store as much as possible to reflect the individuality of each of our artists. This is an ongoing project, but here’s a few samples of store comps we are working on – more coming soon!

For Jennifer Lopez, I worked with the record label and artist management to design the official site, store and myspace for the artist. The creative focus of the site is to surface a variety large photos of the artist across the header on every page-load, and each are partially exposed and invite the user to expand the photos to the fullsize of the screen, to help create a sense of discovery for the user and make the site a unique and memorable experience.
